30 May 2011: Prof. Nikos Tsourveloudis receives a honorary Diploma at the University Carlos III of Madrid
During a ceremony for the extension of Chairs-of-Excellence program on May 30, 2011, Nikos Tsourveloudis received a Diploma "in recognition of his academic work" from Prof. Daniel Peña, Rector of Univ. Carlos III of Madrid (UC3M), and Mr. Emilio Botín, President of Santander bank. The Chairs-of-Excellence program started in 2007 between University Carlos III of Madrid (UC3M) and Santander bank. The goal of the program is to promote excellence in research by attracting leading international investigators to join UC3M's departments, research institutes and groups for six months or one year. It is anticipated that this will strength and increase UC3M's international ties, as well as develop long-term collaborations and share teaching and research experiences with these renowned international researchers.
